Though it was widely anticipated that Messi would win but the order of outcome of the result was contray to most people expected .
Rather Ronaldo came second whilts 3rd goes to Neymar in the following sequence
1 - Messi, 2 - Ronaldo, 3 - Neymar.
Neymar had 7% of the vote, Ronaldo had 27%. Messi had 41.33% exactly.
Interestingly Ronaldo voted for teammates Karim Benzema, James Rodriguez and - yes, honestly - Gareth Bale as his picks. Maybe he does rate him, after all.
Gareth Bale doesn't get a vote because he's not captain. At least he'll be happy with that nomination from his Real Madrid friend - Chris Coleman and Ashley Williams both selected Bale as their number one choice.
Over in camp Messi, it went pretty much how you'd expect - although I am slightly surprised that Luis Suarez is ahead of Neymar in his voting. 1 - Luis Suarez, 2 - Neymar and 3 - Andres Iniesta.
